Dear Diary,
Today my dear children were playing on the mat when I saw the newspaper arrive. I went to pick it up, and then I came back inside to read it. ‘GOLD DISCOVERY IN BALLARAT’ the headline read. I suddenly felt excited. I might become rich. I might be a women but nobody can stop me from striking it rich. Tomorrow my family my family and I are going to start our journey sailing to Ballarat.

Dear Diary,

Dear Diary,
We had to wake up early to make our journey to Ballarat. We’ve got all our belongings neatly packed and our children cleaned and dressed. In a few minutes we are about to start our tremendous journey to Ballarat. I silently prayed that we sha’ll die.
